John Garigen
As an owner and partner with Integrated Landscape Management, John Garigen has built his career in the landscape and maintenance industry since 1998. Through his interest in service-based business and the Arizona landscape, John began his career selling landscape maintenance with the nation's largest landscape maintenance company. As one of the company's top business developers in the country, John and his business partner, Robert Clinkenbeard, decided to start their own company.
The vision of the company was built around putting the client's interest first and measuring the company's success through customer satisfaction. As a partner with ILM, John focuses his efforts on client retention and business development. With more than 400 maintenance jobs with 280 existing clients, John believes that maintaining the focus on the quality of the product affords them the outstanding client retention rate ILM has today.
With a degree in Liberal Arts from Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York, as well as studying business administration at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. John played Division 1 Soccer on a scholarship to both schools.
Drawn to the beautiful year-round weather, John moved to Arizona in 1997. As a licensed helicopter pilot, John enjoys the tranquility of flying in his spare time. He also plays ice hockey and soccer with local leagues. John lives in North Scottsdale with his beautiful wife Michelle and young daughters, Lily and Hailey.
Robert Clinkenbeard
With more than 25 years in landscaping and horticulture, Robert brings tremendous experience and value to ILM's clients. As a founding principal of the seven year-old firm, Robert is responsible for the company operations, while his partner, John Garigen focuses on Client relationships and new business development. It is this cohesive teamwork that has led to the growth and success of ILM and keeps Robert's focus and vision of the company solid - ensuring the very best service and quality to every client.
It was a summer job at a nursery in Scotland that forever sparked a love of landscaping for Robert, prompting him to obtain an undergraduate degree in Horticulture and masters in Desert Landscaping. While Robert sees landscaping as an element that is involved in every feature of life, he recognized the need to apply this passion and education in a formal business setting. By working as a grounds manager for a City Parks Department in Scotland, Robert acquired knowledge in a diversity of settings including parks, sports fields, nurseries and cemeteries. This experience also allowed him to see the value of customer service and quality from the owner's perspective, as well as maximizing landscaping impact with limited resources.
Robert came to the United States nine years ago and expanded his business training and education through one of the largest landscape companies in the nation. As a certified arborist, experience with fertilizers and chemical weed control, desert and lush landscaping, as well as drainage and irrigation systems, Robert contributes depth of knowledge and the ability to respond proactively to the benefit of the ILM clients.
Having been raised in Scotland, Robert has also traveled extensively throughout Africa, Europe, and Australia. He played competitive rugby and soccer for 20 years and now enjoys triathlons to maximize personal performance and goals.
